Access control and visual intercom

TermDescription
Access ControlA security system that manages and controls who is allowed to enter a specific area or facility, typically involving credentials verification such as cards, codes, or biometrics.
IntercomA two-way communication electronic system often used for conversation between individuals at different points, for example, between a home's entrance and the resident. It may include video functionality.
SIP,SIP Number,SIP GroupSIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is a communication protocol used for establishing, modifying, and terminating multimedia sessions (e.g., video, voice, messaging). A SIP Number represents a specific individual terminal communication number, while SIP Group refers to a collection of SIP numbers that act as a single external communication identifier.
PhonebookListA data structure used for intercom communication between different device terminals, containing information such as dialing details, protocols, SIP information, and other relevant data.
WatchedTargetListA data structure used for monitoring purposes between different device terminals, including information about the devices being monitored.
Door StationThe device installed near the entrance door that includes a camera, speaker, and button for visitors to communicate with residents.
KeypadAn input device with buttons that can be used to enter codes or commands to control access to a secured area.
Access CredentialsAny form of identification used to grant entry into a secured area, such as a keycard, PIN, or biometric data.
Central Management System (CMS)Software that allows administrators to manage multiple access control points from a single API.

Smart Home

TermDescription
Smart HomeA residence equipped with connected devices that can be controlled remotely, including lighting, temperature, multimedia systems, and security systems.
IoT (Internet of Things)A network of physical objects—vehicles, buildings, and other items—embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and connectivity, enabling them to exchange data.
Home AutomationThe automation of household activities, such as turning lights on and off, setting the thermostat, and locking doors, often managed through a central hub or app.
HubA device or software that acts as a central point for connecting multiple smart devices in a smart home system, allowing them to communicate and be controlled together.
Voice AssistantArtificial intelligence software capable of voice interaction, making online queries, scheduling tasks, and controlling smart devices, e.g., Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant.
Scene ModeA preset configuration of smart home devices that can be activated with a single command, such as "Goodnight," which might turn off all lights, lock doors, and set the thermostat to a specific temperature.
Cloud ServicesOnline services provided over the internet, often used by smart home devices to store data, process information, and enable remote access and control.
